Prayer: Abstain from Evil

 

Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. 5: 22-23

Let us pray:

    Merciful and Wonderful Savior, blessed redeemer, and friend, You are worthy of all exaltation. Almighty God, we willingly surrender every ungodly altar erected by our ancestors that does not glorify You and replace it with an altar that praises Your name. Every link or access controlled by demonic force to keep us in captivity, I declare it null and void in the mighty name of Jesus. 

    Lord God, cancel every assignment of the adversary intended to derail our destiny. We declare every evil conspiracy and curse of backwardness seeking to sabotage our progress in Christ broken. Sever, O God, every bad omen and generational curse; cripple and paralyze its dominion over us. We declare dominion over every satanic agent tasked with our downfall. We declare every evil altar designed for our downfall broken and destroyed by the fire of the Holy Spirit. 

   We refuse to remain stranded in desolate places; therefore, we assume authority over every satanic assignment, overthrow his plans, and advance with confidence through the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord God, by your power and authority, we declare every altar erected to hinder our purpose ineffective. We proclaim freedom from all ungodly power as we move towards our land of breakthrough. 

    Preserve us from all evil schemes of the adversary, O God; keep us from evil companions as we seek divine guidance to avoid and conquer; and grant us divine assistance to avoid and conquer every appearance of evil. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
