Where is Your Faith?
Good morning
Scripture: St. Luke 8:22-25
Worship song: Keep the faith
Meditation:
Jesus asked the disciples a very important and significant question: Where is your faith? The disciples accompanied Jesus on his mission trips, yet they had little faith. They witnessed many miracles performed by Jesus Christ. They watched Him cast out demons, turn water into wine, heal the sick, feed a multitude with five loaves and two fishes, and raise the dead. One would think their faith would be unshakeable, but as we read in the above scripture, their faith was still weak. Though they travel with Jesus Christ, they do not fully understand His mission and purpose.
On their trip, sailing along the lake, they encounter a raging storm. As the fierce wind tossed the ship to and fro, they began to panic. At that time, their focus was not on Jesus' capabilities or His power but on the immediate danger imposed by the rising water. Instead of asking Jesus for help, they utter words of accusation. When the storms of life come upon us suddenly, we often forget we serve a capable God. We sometimes forget to look to Jesus from whence cometh our help. We sometimes focus on our problem instead of the problem solver.
Like the
disciples, we switch to panic mode; we become fearful and worried and sometimes
accuse Jesus of not caring. Why accuse the Master when it is our faith that is
lacking? Jesus cares for us so much that He wants none of us to perish. Are you
in jeopardy? Seek the Master's help and exercise your faith. He can calm the
raging sea. Yes, He can. Yes, He will.
Let us pray:
Everlasting Father, as we encounter the challenges of life,
as we go through the rough patches, and as we find ourselves struggling to stay
afloat, I pray our faith will be strengthened and that we will build our hope
on nothing less than Jesus' love and His righteousness. I pray we will remain
steadfast and focused, looking to you, O God, when we cannot see our way
through even when we do not understand your plans. Father, I pray that fear,
worry, anxiety, and mistrust will not dominate our lives, but instead, we will
put our faith and trust in you, Lord the author and finisher of our faith.
Mighty God, please strengthen our faith and help us to walk in obedience to
your will, trusting you for uncommon favor in the name of Jesus Christ our
Advocate. Amen.
Have a peaceful day. ✌🙏
Blessed morning. God is faithful. Pray with me. Have you a heart that's weary. Tending a load of care. Are you a soul that's seeking. Rest from the burden you bear. Who knows your disappointments Who hears each time you cry. Who understands your heartaches Who dries the tears from your eyes. Loving God, we know when we pray you listen and when we listen, you talk, when we believe you work. Lord, walk with me through every moment of uncertainty, and help me to rest in the knowledge that You are always in control. I surrender my fears to You, knowing You care for me deeply. Thank You for Your love and for being my source of comfort and hope. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. Stay Blessed 🙌

Blessed morning. God is faithful. Pray with me. I just want to speak your name, Jesus. Over fear and all anxiety. Your name is power. Your name is healing. Your name is life. May you break every stronghold. Loving God I cling to your powerful promise in Isaiah 41:10: 'Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.' Grant me the courage to trust in your presence, even when my fears seem overwhelming. Help me to remember that you are my God, my source of strength, and my unwavering support. This I ask in your son's name. Amen. Stay Blessed 🙌🏾
