Come Unto Me
Good morning
Scripture reading: Matthew 11:28-30
Worship song: God is Here
Meditation:
Imagine if we could weigh the heavy load we carry in our hearts and minds; no scale would be able to truly measure its weight. Many of us are heavily laden by the burdens of fear, mistakes, worries, anxieties, guilt, disappointment, stress, rejections, etc. We struggle with these burdens, constantly trying to rectify everything that does not align with our plans and desires. These pressures can overwhelm us, leading us to focus on things outside our control.
Though Jesus invites us to release our burdens, we are reluctant to let them go. Jesus knows and understands our struggles. He assures us we can find relief by willingly surrendering our worries and anxieties to Him. Today, Jesus calls us to renounce every weight we bear: every sin that easily besets us, every guilt, worry, stress, anxiety, and frustration.
Come,
lay your burdens down where true freedom is found. Jesus promises that if we
are weary and heavy-laden, we will find sweet peace and rest for our souls in
Him. Let us release the burdens we bear and experience the profound freedom
available for our redemption through Jesus Christ.
Let us pray:
Everlasting Father, our burden bearer and Savior, we come before your presence this day with our hearts laden with worries, anxiety, and stress, resulting from the situations we encounter. Lord, we are burdened by the struggles of past and present difficulties. Father, there are things we refuse to let go of, things we store in our hearts that are weighing us down. Father, we are tossed and shaken by the winds of our struggles, so we beseech you, gentle Jesus, to search the depths of our hearts and uproot what you have not sown. We commit our lives, hopes, desires, fears, and all that troubles us into your capable hands. Please release us from our burdens and replace them with your guidance. Empty our hearts, O God, of that which plagues us. Father, as you bore our sins on Calvary's cross for our redemption, I humbly ask you to take the burden we carry and replace it with your easy yoke in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a wonderful day. 💕🙏🙏
Is there anything that we would not tell the Lord who knows all things. Sometimes that is all it takes leveling with Him. We cannot overcome the ills of this life without the supernatural power of God. We have to be packed and loaded at all times with His power. Let us stay vigilant. 🙏🙏
