It is Written

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Matthew 4:1-11

Worship song: Give Me You

Meditation:

Today's scripture passage powerfully illustrates Satan's tactics as he tempted Jesus after his forty days of fasting. Satan used 'if thou' to sow doubt and challenge Jesus' authority, but Jesus counteracted Satan's attempt to undermine his authority by consistently responding with the phrase 'It is written,' demonstrating his deep knowledge and reliance on God's word. Satan attempted to twist the scripture to conquer Jesus, but he was defeated.

Not everyone will experience spiritual attacks in the same way. The devil is strategic, targeting each of us with a specific missile, and if successful, he celebrates. However, if he fails his quest, he will retreat for a while but will strike again. The devil is relentless and will attack when we least expect it. He often attacks right after a powerful spiritual worship experience or after we have given God genuine praise. Satan is also likely to attack before we embark on a new spiritual quest, at the moment when God is preparing us for greatness. The enemy capitalizes on the moments when we are facing physical challenges, emotionally vulnerable, or spiritually weak, and uses them to his advantage.

Jesus' response to Satan is a powerful example for us, highlighting the vital importance of knowing and implementing Scripture when facing temptation and spiritual warfare. We must diligently study the word of God to show ourselves approved unto God, rightly dividing the word of truth without shame.

Let us pray:

Most righteous, Eternal Father, empower us with the desire to feast upon your word; grant us wisdom to comprehend each scripture and the ability to use them appropriately. Almighty God, as your word declares, we beseech you to tabernacle with us during times of difficulty. Be with us, Daddy Jesus, when temptations become hard to bear, lest we heed the tempter. Lead us not into temptation, O God, but deliver us from all evil. Heavenly, keep our eyes fixed on you, and anchor our souls on the solid rock, O God. Do not allow Satan to rejoice over us or conquer us during spiritual battles. Be our guiding light, Daddy Jesus, at all times, because without you, we are frail and feeble. We solely depend on you, Lord God, to keep us anchored and secured while the billows roll in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Have a blessed day. 💕🙏

  1. It is written. It is important to know what is written so when attack we can readily use the word without hesitation like a bullet from a weapon. Let the word of God dwell in us richly in all wisdom. Study to show oneself approved rightly dividing the word of truth. Put on the whole Armour of God that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. The Lord really equips us in our warfare but we must follow His instructions to be victorious. Let us lean heavily on Him. Walk good. Stay strong. Love you lovely one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🫂🥰🙏🙏
