Thou of Little Faith

Scripture reading: Matthew 14:22-33

Meditation:

    Jesus bid Peter to walk on the water and come to Him, but he was conquered by fear.  With remarkable trust and courage, Peter stepped out of the boat and started walking towards Jesus, but shortly afterward his lack of faith caused him to take his eyes off Jesus and instead focus them on the boisterous wave. His faith was tested, but he failed when fear and doubt crept into his mind. 

    Like Peter, many of us unwaveringly stepped out by faith, but as soon as we came face to face with our Goliath we panicked and gave in to fear. We dance to the tune of anxiety, fear, and worry ever so often that we forget who controls the giants, the wind, and the waves. Our God has the power to shut the mouth of the lions and extinguish the fiery furnace. We must remember the earth is the Lord's and everything must bow to His name. Even the Goliaths and the giants that seemed impossible to surmount will fall when we call upon His name. 

    Keep your focus firmly on Jesus. Do not fear or be dismayed, for He who calms the sea is more than capable of calming the giants within and around you. Be reminded that mountains shake, hills melt like wax and the raging sea stands still in the presence of the Lord. Do you have any Goliaths to conquer? Trust in the Lord wholeheartedly and do not lean on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your paths.

Let us pray:

    Adonai, Alpha and Omega, today, I worship you, O Lord, in spirit and truth, for you are indeed worthy to be praised. Mighty God, mighty in battle, I honor and glorify you as Lord and King. You are the God of wonders, unmatched in power and infinite in wisdom. Today, Lord, we surrender all doubts, fears, anxiety, and worries to you. As we step out in faith, empower us to conquer our weaknesses and neutralize every oppressive spirit that seeks to war against us. Defeat every Goliath that threatens to overpower and hinder our purpose in life. Nullify, O God, any force operating to weaken our faith and trust in you. Empower us, O God, to emerge victoriously over every challenge that tests our faith. Almighty God, intercept and destroy every evil missile launched against us in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

    It is very important for one to believe, have faith and trust and continue to do so. There is no time off in these actions. After being assured of our foundation, we must act else our talk does not amount to much. Know what we believe, in whom we believe and amidst what happens don't be distracted, be focus and continue in words and actions. Stay strong. Blessings.

Good morning Scripture reading: St Luke 4:16 Worship song: The Heart of Worship   Meditation:      It is customary for believers in Christ to gather in synagogues and places of worship at least once weekly to fellowship, praise, and honor God, our Creator. Your desire to know more about Jesus Christ should be your priority over earthly pursuits.
