Will Not Inherit The Kingdom
Good morning
Scripture reading: 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11
Praise song: Change My Heart Oh God
Meditation:
In the passage from 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that those who will not inherit the kingdom of God are the unrighteous and the ungodly. Individuals who disregard the guidance of the Holy Spirit and fail to surrender to God's will and commands are at risk of exclusion from this divine kingdom promise. Those who seek to fulfill the desires of the flesh, living to please and satisfy the self rather than the creator will miss this inheritance.
Apostle Paul's message serves as a reminder to the Corinthian believers informing them about who is eligible to inherit the kingdom. Based on his teachings, one would get the understanding that the believers were not fully aware as to who would inherit the Kingdom of God. Paul told them not to be deceived, for the unrighteous and the ungodly will not inherit God's Kingdom. The context of this passage emphasizes that the continuous pursuit of the desires of the flesh and the refusal to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour can lead to perishing in our trespasses and sins.
If
God is speaking to you today, do not harden your heart. Pursue righteousness,
serve God, and obey His precepts and commands so that you will be numbered
among the inheritors of His Kingdom.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God blessed redeemer and friend, I am extremely
grateful for your tender mercies and unconditional love towards us. Father, we
thank you for your gift of salvation, asking for your grace to help us live a
life worthy of the inheritance. I pray, O God, that by the power of the Holy
Spirit, we will continue to shun the appearances of evil and walk the path of
righteousness and holiness daily. Father, when our flesh becomes weak, empower
us with your supernatural strength. Almighty God, where there is weakness,
strengthen us; where there is self-will, incline our hearts to seek after
righteousness. Where we lack understanding, grant us wisdom, lest we falter and
turn away from following after you. Amen.
Wishing you a wonderful day. 💕🙏
That is the one thing we cannot afford to miss, the kingdom of God. While we share in it now, the eternal state when everything is finalized we cannot miss. What we do now determines whether we are in or not. Let us share in our walk and talk as we travel together. Blessings.
