Second Chance

Good morning

Scripture reading: Micah 7:18-20

Worship song: God of a Second Chance

Meditation:

Throughout the scriptures, second chances were extended to many, including the Israelites, Apostle Paul, the Ninevites, King David, and the prodigal son. The Israelites' repeated unfaithfulness never exhausted God's unending compassion. God's inexhaustible patience and boundless mercy were extended to the Israelites despite their frequent acts of disobedience. The parable of the prodigal son offers a profound narrative that illustrates God's unconditional love and readiness to restore those who have strayed and desire to return to Him.

God demonstrated the depth of his love for us by having Christ die on our behalf at a time when we were still in rebellion against him so that we might be saved from the coming judgment. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Lamentations 3 teaches us that God's steadfast love is unfailing, and His mercy and compassion are renewed each day, demonstrating His great and enduring faithfulness. Second chances emphasize God's continual mercy and patience, the ultimate chance given through Jesus Christ.

Let us pray:

Most righteous eternal Father, we express our sincere heartfelt gratitude to you, O God, for extending grace, unconditional love, compassion, and boundless mercy to us despite our acts of disobedience. It is a wonderful feeling to know that through the shedding of your efficacious blood, we are saved. We thank you, O God, that you have saved us and, with your mercy, forgave us. We thank you, Lord God, for showing us mercy when we deserve your wrath. God, your grace is enough for it is made perfect in our weakness. Lord, we surrender every act of rebelliousness and disobedience to embrace your grace which gives us freedom. We surrender the things we cling to and commit to serving you, Lord God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a fantastic day. 💕👏🙏

  1. We serve a God of second chance. No matter how far we sink or how bad we mess up, God's aim is to make us whole, new, clean so He can perfect us for His glory. Let us seek Him daily, draw nigh to Him so we can be more like Him. 🙏
