They That Are Against You
Good morning
Scripture Reading: Acts 6
Worship Song: Whom Shall I Fear
Meditation:
Living in a world with its share of challenges, you might encounter people who make things difficult. There will always be faultfinders and those who spread false reports to discourage and hinder you as you excel. However, do not be discouraged for He that is with you is more than those that are against you. Stephen was one of seven leaders chosen to serve and minister to the widows. Some of the synagogue leaders were mystified by Stephen's outstanding performance as an evangelist, so they disputed with him and went to the council with falsified information.
The witnesses who came to
challenge Stephen's intelligence were humiliated because he spoke with such
compelling power and wisdom that his adversaries could not withstand it. He was
not fighting an independent battle. The glory of God was seen on him so that
his countenance baffled his accusers. Be aware that you will encounter
opposition and false accusers whenever you speak the name of Jesus. Their
effort to listen to you is to defeat your mission desire, but stand still, fear
not, nor be dismayed, for God will strengthen you, help you, and uphold you. He
will deliver you safely out of the hands of your accusers and you shall see the
salvation of the Lord God.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I give you thanks for your spoken
words that remind us that we will encounter false accusers who will rise
against us, even those who are acquainted with our griefs. Abba Father, though
we are vulnerable to tribulations, may we stand flat-footed knowing that you,
Almighty God, who is always with us, are more than they that are against us.
Everlasting Father, I pray that we will walk boldly with confidence, without
fear or trembling because you are with us wherever we go. Father, I give you
thanks for granting us victory over those who deliberately spread
misinformation to dishearten and break our will. We express gratitude to you,
Lord God, for shielding and protecting us from the enemy's schemes in the name
of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. Keep safe. 💕🙏🙌
