Do You Have Enough Fuel?
Good Morning
Scripture reading: Matthew 25: 1-13
Mediation song: Give Me Oil in My Lamp
Have you ever experienced the frustration of your vehicle running out of fuel, leaving you stranded on the roadway? Has a power outage ever interrupted a crucial moment, only for you to discover the generator is also out of fuel? Anyone who experiences low resources understands what it means to be in a state of unpreparedness.
The bridesmaids waited to meet the bridegroom, but he was delayed longer than they anticipated. When the bridegroom arrived at midnight, the ten virgins woke to prepare their lamps, but the foolish five discovered they lacked enough oil for the long wait and missed the opportunity to go with the bridegroom. The five wise virgins rejoice because they have sufficient oil. The oil in our lamp represents the presence of the Holy Spirit within us, and we are the lamp in which the Holy Spirit dwells. The wise virgins are the believers in Christ who are dwelling in God's presence, watching and waiting patiently for his return. The foolish virgins symbolize those who are spiritually unprepared, prioritizing worldly pursuits over seeking salvation.
Running low on resources teaches us the practical
consequence of lack of preparation. Only a substantial presence of God in our
life can keep the fire burning through the dark nights. Don't wait until you
are empty; stay connected to the main source of spiritual strength to maintain
your supply and keep the fire burning. Trim your lamp daily and enhance
your spiritual life by spending time in deep meditation on scripture, prayer,
praise, and worship. Ephesians 5:18-19 encourages us to be filled with the
Spirit. We ought to speak to ourselves psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,
singing and making melodies in our hearts to the Lord.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, Rock of Ages, You are our strong tower, the
solid rock on which we stand. Abba Father, I pray you will bless us with
strength, endurance, and patience to run this race swiftly. In moments of
exhaustion, Lord, renew our spirits; help us run this race with endurance and
assurance, secure in the knowledge of Your sustaining power and life-giving
presence. We pray, O God, that You keep our inner light burning brightly and
shield us from spiritual emptiness. Breathe upon us this morning, the breath of
life, and fill our lamps with fresh oil to sustain us daily. Let the power from
heaven fall on us, Almighty God, as you pour new wine, new anointing, and Holy
Ghost fire in us. Make us an oracle to be used for your glory; make us whatever
you want us to be. Fill us with your supernatural power to overcome all
obstacles in our path through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Wishing you abundant blessings. 💕🙏🙏
