Sanctified for God's Holy Purpose

Good morning

Scripture reading: Romans 12:1-2

Hymn: Draw Me Nearer

Meditation:

God's call for Moses and the Israelites to prepare for His presence on Mount Sinai involved washing and consecrating themselves, a command for spiritual purity and separation that was also repeated for Joshua's generation. This highlights the need for spiritual and physical holiness to encounter God's awesome power. The direct command to be consecrated and purified focused on setting ourselves apart for holy purposes, which involves avoiding sin, choosing righteousness, and cleansing ourselves from all defilement that hinders our relationship with God.

We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a peculiar people. Being God's representatives on earth, God requires us to be consecrated in holiness for He is Holy. Paul the Apostle, beseech us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, and be not conformed to worldly standards and influences. Let us heed God's will and dedicate ourselves to living a righteous life, set apart for His glory.

Let us pray:

Almighty God, I surrender my whole life, my daily activities, and my well-being to your will and sovereignty. I am dedicating my home, relationships, family, and friends to you, Lord. Consecrate and purify our bodies, O God, so that your Holy Spirit can dwell within us. We beseech you, Almighty God, to sanctify our lips, our hearts, and our minds. Purge us with hyssop and cleanse us from all ungodliness. Create within us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Set us apart for your holy purpose. Grant us the strength to resist worldly standards so that we may live a life that portrays your divine purpose and holiness. Almighty God, we pray for daily spiritual cleansing and the guidance to realign our lives with your will in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💞🙏
