Meditation:

    Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost and prophesied that his son, John the Baptist would go before the Messiah to prepare the way of salvation by guiding individuals to repent for the remission of their sins. Zacharias rejoiced, acknowledging that the Lord had raised a horn of salvation from the royal lineage of King David to deliver His people from their enemies, sin, and death. 

    Zacharias emphasizes the core missions that his son would fulfil: to bring hope, comfort, and salvation; to inform people that salvation is found in the remission of sins; to shine spiritual light and truth upon those living in darkness and hopelessness, providing hope amidst death and fear; and to guide people towards peace with God. These missions are divinely designed to lead individuals towards a peaceful and secure relationship with God. 

    The prophecy spoken by Zacharias was fulfilled; John the Baptist served as the vital forerunner and prophet who prepared Israel for the Messiah, Jesus Christ, by preaching repentance and baptizing with water. His purpose was to identify Jesus to Israel as the promised savior.

Let us pray:

    Almighty God, we thank you for sending your messenger, your prophet to prepare the way for the coming of Jesus Christ. Lord, we thank you for the gift of salvation and your son, Jesus Christ who willingly came to earth to bring light to a world in darkness. We thank you, Lord God, for the word which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Father, we acknowledge that you are mindful of us, caring about our well-being and the condition of our hearts. Therefore Lord, we surrender our mind, soul, heart, and spirit to you. Deepen our faith and increase our understanding of your word. We give you authority over our actions and ask for your help to overcome obstacles that may cause us to stray from your presence. We pray that you will turn the minds of those who have wandered away from you, Lord. I pray, O God, that through your word they will come to know you and accept you as Lord in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

    It is a shame on ungrateful people who don't recognized the price paid for their freedom. The process is obvious but the blindness is unthinkable. The people that walk in darkness have seen the great light but turned a blind eye. We pray for the Lord to open blind eyes that they may see Him in the light of His glory. 🙏🙏

    Recognizing mankind’s need for salvation, God provided his Son as the ultimate redeemer, offering everlasting life to everyone who believes. Those who reject God’s salvation and refuse to turn from sin will suffer the consequences of their choices.

    In your hands. Lord I place today and tomorrow. Dear God, You remind us that those who wait upon you shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagle, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Lord there is always a reason for delay and sometimes we may not understand it. Help us to understand that sometimes it is just a test of our faith. Help us not to get discouraged and give up while we are waiting for the situation to turn around. Help us to understand that your timing is always perfect and it may not be the timing we want, but it is the timing we need. Thank you for always being there for us. Amen. Stay Blessed. 🙏🏾

Maybe you are entertained by a song that is robbing you of your joy, and peace of mind. Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 10:1-20 Hymn: Just as I am   Meditation:      Jesus Christ selected ordinary individuals to serve as his disciples; He also endowed them with authority over unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal all kinds of sickness and diseases. Among those Jesus chose as his disciples were tax collectors and fishermen. As Jesus commissioned his disciples for service, He provided precise instructions to take the gospel to willing listeners and to the lost sheep.       The disciples were informed that they would encounter some stubborn, self-willed persons, who would reject the gospel. Good morning Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 8:7-20 Worship song: Blessed Be Your Name   Meditation:      Moses issued a stern warning to the Israelites as they prepared to enter the Promised Land cautioning them not to allow future wealth, comfort, and success to cause them to forget that God is the true source of all their blessings. The human tendency is to become prideful and forget the God who delivered them out of hardship and desperate circumstances.
