Walking in Obedience

Good morning

Scripture reading: 2 John 1

Worship song: Walk in Truth and Love

Meditation:

In his second epistle, Apostle John commended a local congregation for walking in the truth of the gospel. Although they were already abiding by the truth, he strongly encouraged them to continue walking in love by adhering to God’s commandments. Emphasizing Love and compassion towards others is a fundamental aspect of obeying God's commandments. The Apostle Paul warned the church to remain vigilant and fully aware of the deceivers who deny that Jesus came in the flesh.

He cautioned against welcoming or entertaining individuals who reject the truth about Jesus and his ministry. Paul affirms that offering hospitality or encouragement to deceivers is to partner in their corrupt deeds. Furthermore, he urged believers to maintain the spiritual foundation they have established and the blessings they have obtained through faithful service to Christ. We are advised to encourage one another in Christ, to maintain the faith, sustain hope, and guard our spiritual commitment to ensure that our labor is not in vain.

Let us pray:

Everlasting Father, we give thanks for your word which reminds us to obey your commandments by loving others as Christ demonstrated during His earthly ministry. Almighty God, we seek your divine assistance and the spirit of discernment to remain vigilant against deceivers disguised as true bearers of the gospel, who deceive the unsuspecting. Father, we ask for spiritual guidance and understanding, that the Holy Spirit may lead us into Your truth and protect us from false teachings. Lord, we humbly surrender our limited understanding to Your authority, seeking wisdom and knowledge through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Guard our minds against falsehood and our hearts from deception in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a day of divine peace ✌💕🙏
