Your Mental Diet

Good morning

Scripture reading: Philippians 4:8

Worship song: Whatever Is Lovely

Meditation:

A proper spiritual diet is essential as it provides vital benefits that will fuel the mind, safeguard our thoughts, and promote long-term physical and mental well-being. It is necessary to maintain a healthy spiritual diet rooted in God’s Word to foster spiritual growth and strength. The Bible functions as a spiritual filter, guiding individuals to replace toxic, anxious, or unwholesome thoughts with truth and peace thereby preventing believers in Christ from becoming weak and weary.

Spiritual nourishment is obtained through daily reading and meditation on scriptures. You can consciously choose wholesome, uplifting thoughts and intentionally filter your meditation by focusing on things that are holy, true, just, honest, pure, and lovely. Apostle Paul encouraged us not to be conformed to this world: but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, bringing into captivity every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God to the obedience of Christ (Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 10:5).

The mind processes what it consumes; the conversations engaged in, and the thoughts entertained feed your emotions, therefore it is necessary to nourish your mind with the truth of God's word. Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, I seek your discipline and strength to safeguard my thoughts today. Fill my mind with your truth, and holiness, as I read your word. Lord, I crave your divine help to replace toxic and unwholesome thoughts with those that are holy, just, honest, and acceptable. Please filter my thoughts, renew my mind, and help me eliminate all mental and spiritual junk. Block every portal through which the enemy may attempt to gain access to my thoughts. I now invite the Holy Spirit to serve as the gatekeeper of my mind, heart, and thoughts. By your power, Almighty God, I gain control over my thoughts and intentionally meditate on Your holy words daily in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💕🙏
