Offerings On The Altar

Good morning

Scripture Reading: Genesis 8:20

Worship Song: That's What The Altar Is For

Meditation:

Noah witnessed firsthand the terrifying force of God's divine power and wrath. Everything was destroyed; the land was laid waste, and no one survived except those safely sheltered in the ark. Upon disembarking, Noah's first act was not to build a house for his family, but to build an altar and worship God through sacrifice. He prioritized honoring God, overlooking his immediate needs. Rather than focusing on the devastation around him, Noah turned his eyes to God, his provider and the source of his strength.

Noah’s life reminds us to make wholehearted thanksgiving our very first response to God's deliverance. Acknowledge your victory through deep gratitude, thanking God for the way He brought you through and set you free.

If you are at your lowest point, when plans have collapsed, and possessions have been stripped away, remember that God is your anchor and the restorer of broken lives. If you have been struggling under the weight of your circumstances, and everything you have tried has failed, turn to Jesus. Place your trust in the only wise God, who is fully able to provide everything you need from His abundant riches. God sustained Noah, and He can do the same for you; fret not, only trust Him.

Let us pray:

Almighty God, we humbly bow in reverence, kneeling to worship and adore You, our Creator. You are our God, and we are the people of Your pasture. Father, we recognize that we sometimes focus on our circumstances, worrying about the outcome rather than trusting in Your sovereignty. Today, Almighty God, we turn our focus to You, for You deserve our praise and our undivided hearts. Lord, we recognize the importance of seeking You first and pursuing all righteousness. We surrender to Your will, offering ourselves to You as living sacrifices, which is our reasonable service. We lift our eyes to You, Lord, offering our hearts in complete surrender and placing our steadfast trust in Your divine guidance. In the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a joyful day. 👏🙌🙏
