Drink From The Fountain Freely

Good morning

Scripture Reading: John 4:10-14; 19: 28-30

Worship Song: Fill My Cup, Lord

Meditation:

Jesus, physically weary from his journey, sat beside a well in Sychar, Samaria. Soon thereafter, a Samaritan woman arrived at the well to draw water. Jesus engaged in conversation with her and ministered to her spirit, offering her living water so that she would never thirst again. Jesus came to satisfy not merely physical needs but the spiritual. He came into the world with a divine mandate to teach, educate, and provide healing, and to offer redemption and deliverance to a dying world.

Through His suffering and death, Christ settled the moral debt of humanity, purchasing our salvation and redemption. He lamented in anguish while suffering an intolerable punishment, yet he endured it to the end. His strength was drained like a potsherd, and his tongue cleaved to his mouth; In His thirst, they offered Him vinegar to drink. Jesus then bowed His head and declared, "It is finished." Jesus has granted us free access to the well of living water. Therefore, if anyone thirsts, let them come unto Jesus and drink. Approach the fountain where living water flows, and you shall never thirst again.

Let us pray:

My dear Heavenly Father, our source of living water and the well that shall never run dry, the God who commands and by whom all things are created, I worship You, for You are worthy of all praise. O God, You are our Lord and King; our souls thirst for You in this dry and parched land. We thank You, Lord, for the fountain of living water and Your mercy. Fill our cups, Heavenly Father, as we lift them unto You, with peace, mercy, joy, love, and compassion. Lord, when our spirits are parched with the intensity of our sins, forgive us, and saturate us in the fountain of Your grace. Free us, O God, from the longing for worldly enjoyments, and help us find true fulfillment in Your grace. In the name of Jesus Christ, our everlasting King. Amen.

Wishing you a wonderful day. 👏🙌🙏

  1. Nothing quench one's thirst like a drink of water. The story in the Bible of Lazarus and the rich man, tell it all, in Luke16:19-31.
Nevertheless, a spiritual drink is even more satisfying because it is not only a foretaste, it is what we will experience eternally in another body. Let us drink and be satisfied. 🙏🙏
