God Has Not Forgotten You

Good morning

Scripture reading: Genesis 8

Worship song: I Am Not Forgotten

Meditation:

It is difficult to comprehend the isolation Noah and his family must have experienced as they remained inside the ark, surrounded by water. Nevertheless, although they drifted aimlessly while waiting for the storm to subside, they were never in danger. They were secure, carried safely through the raging tempest, and comforted by the presence of God. After forty days and nights of torrential rain, the land was completely submerged. But God remembered Noah, sent a wind across the earth, and the waters began to recede. God's remembering Noah does not mean that He had forgotten him. Sealed in by God's own hand, they were guarded and kept safe through the entire flood.

When life's storms rage, we may feel abandoned; however, we are reminded that God has not forgotten us amid our trials. God remembers us in our low estate: for His mercy endureth for ever (Psalm 136:23). God has promised never to leave, forsake, or forget us. He does not turn away from, withdraw His mercy, or abandon His people when life becomes difficult or uncertain. He assures us that we are graven upon the palms of His hands.

In times of deep anguish, even during the darkest and loneliest periods, let us remain faithful and find comfort in God’s divine timing. Noah's steadfast faithfulness and obedience to God helped preserve his household from divine judgment. God will preserve us if we abide in Him.

Let us pray:

Eternal Father, we come before You with confidence, asking that You redirect our focus from our present struggles and fix it upon You, O God, our mighty Deliverer. Lord, we surrender our well-being to Your supreme authority, trusting You to direct our steps. Grant us obedient hearts, O God, so that we may follow Your instructions and commands with deep reverence, choosing Your wisdom over our own desires. Remove the spirit of doubt, rebellion, and disobedience, and grant us unwavering trust when the path You have chosen does not appear feasible to us. Give us hearts, O God, that listen to Your voice above the noise and the need for human validation. Lord, as we navigate waves of emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial hardships, may we find peace as we wait for Your divine breakthrough. Calm the storms around us and protect us from the adversary's attacks. We pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌👏🙏

  1. How comforting are the words of the Lord. As I read this devotion, I feel strength, comfort, peace and joy springing up in me. I feel revived as these words hit deep. God knows our name and we know we are not forgotten. When we are hit hard by life circumstances, like Job, we will say though He slay us we will trust Him. Keep serving and believing. He will come through at some time. Thanks for sharing. 💕💪🙏🔥🔥👍
