God promised to bless him and his generation and give them the land of Canaan. The land was already occupied by various inhabitants, but God had to evict them so that Abraham and his descendants could possess the land. Our thoughts and hearts are vulnerable to the controlling influence of Satan's forces, who act as spiritual squatters.       To remove these spiritual intruders, we must invite Jesus Christ to take possession of our inner lives. Satan and his cohorts will remain inhabitants until we actively invite Jesus Christ into our lives to forcibly evict these unwanted spiritual tenants. Good morning Scripture reading: Isaiah 59:1-4 Worship song: Here's My Heart   Meditation:      Spiritual decline refers to a decrease or deterioration of one's connection to the Divine, marked by a decline in faith, moral integrity, spiritual wisdom, or religious devotion. This is often caused by disobedience to God's word, increased idolatry practices, indulgence in worldly pleasures, and a decrease in godly and ethical standards. Neglecting to pray and a lack of spiritual energy, demonstrated by a loss of desire to worship and connect with other believers, mark the beginning of all spiritual decline.       When we neglect God's divine direction and uphold our own standards, it demonstrates spiritual blindness and a hardness of heart. It may look like they are succeeding when they mock us or threaten us, but God's purpose and support for us are far greater than any force against us. Though we are oppressed and chastised by our adversary, we shall overcome for we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. Good morning Scripture reading: Numbers 12 Praise song: Your Grace and Mercy   Meditation:      Miriam and Aaron criticized their younger brother Moses, using his marriage to an Ethiopian woman as a pretext to question his authority. They believed that God spoke through them as much as did through Moses. Their constant utterance against Moses, the chosen servant kindled the wrath of God. Miriam was struck with leprosy and was shut out of the camp.   Because she was unable to journey with them in her state, the people had to wait until she recovered and returned to the camp. But when he saw the fierce wind and boisterous waves, fear conquered his faith, causing him to sink as he took his eyes off Jesus. Like Peter, we often start with unwavering faith but panic and succumb to fear, anxiety, and worry the moment we encounter difficult challenges. The biblical accounts of Abraham, Sarah, Hannah, and Joseph illustrate how God's promises unfold over time, through testing, and in ways that are often unexpected. While the divine promise took many years to materialize for these individuals, their stories demonstrate God's enduring faithfulness. Patience is a virtue that is built over time as a result of waiting for a promise to be fulfilled. Maybe you are entertained by a song that is robbing you of your joy, and peace of mind. Perhaps it is robbing you of hope, happiness, and contentment, causing you to be angry, grumpy, miserable, depressed, bitter, and cold-hearted. This is the type of music we dance to outside of Christ. The life we live outside of Jesus Christ is the old records, playing to the tunes of hatred, grief, adultery, fornication, drunkenness, envy, strife, wrath, and idolatry. If that is the case with you, now is a good time to consider changing that soundtrack.
