Mender of Brokenness
Good morning
Scripture reading: Psalm147:1-7
Worship song: Friend of a Wounded Heart
Meditation:
She dragged herself hopelessly. She had given up on life and cared not what befell her. Her situation left her disappointed and discouraged, and she felt like a hopeless failure. Her family and loved ones tried to comfort her, but she locked herself away in the comfort of her room, stuck in isolation. She lay in solitude across her bedroom floor, in the stillness of the night, thinking about where she had gone wrong. She scanned the bookshelf nervously, searching for a book to drown her sorrows, noticed the Bible on the bottom shelf, and picked it up aimlessly. Her heart melted as she read about Jesus' love for mankind. Tearfully, she cried, Jesus, if you are hearing, and you really love me, mend what is broken. You might be going through some rough times; friends have let you down; loved ones may have abandoned you; you may feel as though all hope is lost and you might have been battered, bruised, and torn, but Jesus can deliver you from your brokenness. You may feel as though life is not worth living, but Jesus can change your situation. You are never alone; you have someone who cares and loves you. His name is Jesus Christ. There is still hope in King Jesus. Turn it over to Jesus, and he will fix it for you. He is a friend to the friendless, the wounded hearted, the lonely, the fatherless, the forbidden, and the outcast. Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
Loving Savior, redeemer, and friend, I am in awe of your goodness, mercies, and grace. Almighty God, I call upon you, O Lord, to comfort those who are struggling with issues, those who have given up and lost hope that they will turn to you, the mender of wounded hearts. Father, I pray that you will liberate us from anything that weighs us down, anything that we are wrestling to overcome, and fill us with hope and a new perspective on life. Friend of a wounded heart, locate us where we are, heal our secret scares and breathe afresh on us, fill us with your anointing, and change our concept from hopeless to hope, fear to faith, hatred to love. Almighty God, continue to mold and fashion us into your likeness as we worship and give you thanks for mending everything broken within us through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Have a great day. 💕🙏
