Dwell in Safety

Good morning

Scripture reading: Psalm 27

Worship song: Safe

Meditation:

The vehicle I was in stopped to allow a mother and her ducklings to cross the road. I was fascinated by how protective the mother was of its young. We waited patiently and watched as the mother safely led its young ducklings to the other side of the road. It seems like she counted them and realized some were missing. She returned to the other side and then crossed again with the two unruly ones walking close behind her. This display of protection demonstrates how much the Lord shields us from the attack of the enemy.

In times of trouble, we are hidden in the secret places of his pavilion, where he will cover us with his feathers safely under his wings. When we dwell in the secret place of God, He will protect us from the host that encamped around us. The Lord will keep us from the snare of the wicked and from the noisome pestilence. However, if we refuse to seek shelter and dwell in the secret place of Almighty God or remove ourselves from under his wings, we will become like sitting ducks having no protection from the dangers around us. Stay under the banner of God, where you will be safe and secure.

Let’s pray:

My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I am delighted that you love us unconditionally and willingly lay down your life to protect us and keep us safe from the onslaught of the evil one. Father, our refuge and fortress, our present help in times of trouble, we are grateful to you for shielding us from the evil one. We thank you, Lord God, for hiding us in your pavilion, in the secret places of your tabernacle where no evil can befall us, nor any plague come within our dwellings. Father, may we never again be entangled in the yoke of bondage but remain under the shadow of the most high God. Almighty God, thank you for keeping us safe and secure from all harm and danger, incidents and accidents, predators and kidnappers in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen. (Child of the King).

Keep safe. Shalom. 💓💂🙏

  1. Amen! Yes we are overshadowed by His boundless love, we have protection from the Lord above. Let us not step outside of this protection.
We are covered under the blood of Jesus and no evil can harm us. In His sheltering arms we are safe.
    Shalom.
