Conquering Rejection
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Matthew 13: 53-58
Worship song: Cry of The Broken
Meditation:
The fear of rejection is a critical weapon that can paralyze our mental state. It can affect who we are and hinder us from moving forward to accomplish our God-given purpose. The fear of rejection can cause someone to avoid situations that might lead to potential rejection. Though you cannot prevent rejection, you can overcome it. Overcoming rejection depends on your beliefs, what you accept, and how you digest the views and opinions of others. Tearing down the stronghold of rejection is possible when you begin to acknowledge and accept what God's word says about your identity and who you are in Christ. When you know and accept that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God in his likeness and image, loved, appreciated, and accepted by Him, you can quell the spirit of rejection.
Whenever you feel rejected, do not take it personally and do not give up; instead, focus on your strengths and achievements. Whenever you feel rejected, you can choose to rest in the truth that you are accepted and loved by God, and in Him, you have your being. You can overcome rejection by taking your eyes off those who reject you and refocusing your attention on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of your faith. You can overcome rejection when you accept that you live in a society where rejection is prominent, and you are not exempt from being rejected.
No
matter how others feel about you or how badly they treat you, remember Jesus
Christ will accept you for who you are, for greater is He that is in you than
he that is against you. Begin by looking at the positive side of life, ignore
the small stuff, and feast your eyes on that which is important. When you have
a close bond with Jesus, you will begin to realize that people's opinions,
thoughts, and negative perspectives of you are insignificant.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, we give thanks, O God, for your comforting words that remind us that we can rest assured that with you we need not fear rejection. Father, we denounce the spirit of rejection and embrace the spirit of acceptance, knowing, mighty God, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in your likeness and image. Almighty God, we now walk with confidence, knowing that even though men have devalued our worth and have rejected us, we are accepted and appreciated in thy sight. Father, we choose to look beyond the many rejections we experience in our lives as we lay down all the pain, hurt, and wounds we struggle to cope with and hereby accept your love, grace, mercies, plans, and purposes for our lives in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Keep safe. One love. 💕🙏
