Stand Still

Good morning

Scripture reading: 2 Chronicles 20

Worship song: The Battle Is Not Yours

Meditation:

Are you facing a situation that seems unattainable? Concerned about things you cannot fix or change? Struggling to overcome trials and temptations? Feel spiritually drained? God is speaking to you today: 'Be still; I AM in control; I AM still God.' Come and behold the incredible works of the Lord.

Just like Jehoshaphat, we can conquer our battles and overcome every hurdle when we surrender them to Jesus Christ. Jehoshaphat feared that he would lose the battle, so he wholeheartedly trusted Almighty God to grant him the willpower to stand against his enemies. He knew the God whom he served was able, so he sought the Lord and proclaimed a solemn fast throughout the cities of Judah. All the people of Judah and Jerusalem fasted and prayed. They bow in worship, singing praises to God with a grateful heart. It was a time of jubilee and rejoicing. Judah stood still and watched their enemies succumb to defeat. They emerged victorious not because of their might, but by surrendering their struggles to Almighty God, fully trusting him to secure the victory.

God has a history of doing remarkable things for His people, and He continues to do exceedingly, abundantly, and beyond what we can comprehend. Who is fighting your battles?

Let's pray:

Mighty warrior, my God, in whom I trust, I bow down and worship You, my King. Mighty God, the consuming fire, our ever-present help in times of trouble. We lift our voices in praise because you are worthy of all honor. Almighty God, we believe that you are the same God who protected Daniel in the lion's den, who rescued the Israelites, and the same God who defeated Jehoshaphat's enemies. This morning, Father God, as we surrender everything to you, we ask for your guidance and strength to overcome our struggles. Father God, we lay before you all our concerns: our worries, our weaknesses, our struggles, and our tribulations. Help us, Lord, as we shift our focus from our endeavors and divert them to you. We ask you to preserve our souls and preserve us from evil. With grateful hearts, we give you thanks in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.

Have a peaceful day. Keep safe. ✌💓🙏

  3. Got we any rivers that seemed uncrossable. There is a bridge over troubled waters, trust in Him and cross over. We shall overcome. God specializes in the things that seemed impossible. This is His specialty.
