Take Me Back
Good morning
Scripture Reading: Numbers 14:1-4
Worship Song: Remind Me Dear Lord
Meditation:
The Israelites cried out for God to deliver them from their taskmaster, yet once rescued, they longed to return, believing their present struggles were worse than their past experience. When we face hardship, instead of giving God thanks, we resort to comparing our challenges to our previous experiences in Egypt.
Like the Israelites, we find ourselves murmuring and complaining instead of showing gratitude. What is it that you are holding on to that is preventing you from reaching the promised land? The life you once had cannot be compared to the blessings the Lord has in store for you. Sometimes, we just need a reminder of God's faithfulness and the dangerous path he rescued us from. If the Lord has liberated you from the bondage of sin and the deception of this world, don't look back.
Being emancipated from the dominant power, the
deception of this world, and the cohort of darkness is more beneficial to us
than anything this world affords to give. Do not look back nor wonder in the
wilderness; hasten to the promised land where mercy, grace, and the limitless
love of God await you.
Let's pray:
Everlasting Father, I lift my eyes to you, O God, and wholeheartedly thank you for rescuing us from a life of sin. I am grateful to you, Lord God, for delivering us from our taskmasters. Faithful promise-keeping God, thank you for redeeming us from Satan's bondage and granting us access to the throne of grace. Whenever we feel tempted to look back or complain, open our eyes and reveal to us the treasures in the promised land you have stored for us. Lord, whenever we are tempted to withdraw from your presence, take us back to the place where we first believed and received you. Almighty God, though we cannot see what the future holds, we will walk confidently in faith, trusting you to guide our steps. We ask for your forgiveness for our ignorance and lack of gratitude in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. (Child of the King).
Have a peaceful day. ✌💕🙏
