The Grand Reunion
Good morning
Scripture reading: Genesis 46
Worship song: We Are United
Meditation:
Jacob experienced deep sorrow for many years, convinced that his beloved son had died. His heart was heavy with grief, and his countenance changed so drastically that he could not be consoled. However, when he received the astonishing news that his son, Joseph, was actually alive, dwelt in Egypt, and was the governor of Pharaoh's estate, his spirit was rejuvenated. He was greatly cheered and strengthened by the glad tidings, and immediately prepared for the journey to Egypt, for he wanted to see Joseph before he died. The joy Jacob felt in that moment was awesome, and the reunion with his son, who was presumed dead, was miraculous.
Typically, a family reunion is a planned event, but this one happened unexpectedly. Jacob never dreamed he would be blessed with this marvelous opportunity to embrace his long-lost son again. These moments of reconnection allow us to nurture friendship, celebrate with loved ones, reminisce on past events, and share cherished memories.
Sadly, many people
never got the chance to reunite with their loved ones. Take the initiative to
reconnect with family and loved ones while you can. Cherish these opportunities
to strengthen your bonds, because you never know when the opportunity will
cease. Enjoy a memorable reunion by rekindling the bond while you celebrate
with friends and family.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, with a grateful heart, I thank you for the precious gift of family and loved ones. We are truly blessed to have loving, kind, compassionate, and caring family members around us. May we always recognize and continue to cherish those you have placed in our lives. May our unity reflect and celebrate the importance of protecting family life. Lord, keep us united, bound with cords that cannot be broken. If there are any unresolved issues, grant us the wisdom and courage to address them speedily, O God. Father, may our actions and conduct positively impact those around us, transforming lives as we align ourselves with your will. Help us rekindle our family altar, offering sacrifices of thanksgiving and praises with hearts overflowing with gratitude. Empower us, Mighty God, with your mercy and goodness, and let your love and peace resonate through us by the grace of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a blessed day. 👪💕🙏
