Meditation:

    Jabez stood out as more honorable than his brethren, capturing our attention, and revealing his exceptional character. To be esteemed as honorable, one must have moral standards and principles that reflect honesty and fairness: qualities that truly deserve respect and admiration. The scripture does not speak about his dignified role and the position of honor he possesses but emphasizes his sincere prayer to God. No matter what position he held, Jabez placed unwavering trust in the God of Israel. In faith, he earnestly beseeched God and made his request known to him. Jabez asked God for five crucial things: that God would bless him, enlarge his territory, provide divine guidance, protect him from evil, and let not evil cause him to grieve. God answered His prayers, illustrating the power of faithful request. 

    Similarly, in 2 Chronicles 1, King Solomon requested wisdom to govern the people, and God granted him not only wisdom but also wealth and prosperity. What do you seek today? What do you require from God? Ask with confidence and unwavering faith, and God will grant you the desires of your heart according to His will.  Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you. Matthew 7:7-8 says everyone who asks receives; everyone who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks the door will be opened.

Let us pray:

    Sovereign God, I magnify you, mighty God, for you are worthy to be praised. This morning, Father, I confidently lay my desires at your feet, praying for a speedy and favorable response. Almighty God, I seek to dwell in your presence for the rest of my life, beholding your beauty and feasting at your table. I seek, O God, understanding and wisdom to interpret your words so I can live a life that is pleasing and accepted in your sight. Father, I ask you to expand my spiritual border so that I do not become dormant but move to greater achievement, accomplishing and fulfilling my God given purposes. Lord, I sincerely seek your divine guidance and pray that your light continues to shine in me, illuminating the darkest areas of life. Lord, may the life I portray bring you glory and propel others to in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide

Good morning Scripture reading: Psalms 139 Worship song: Where Can I Go   Meditation:      Overwhelmed with emotion, the Psalmist reflects on God's incredible, infinite power and omnipresence, marveling that God is intimately acquainted with every detail of his life, even his most hidden thoughts and feelings. God's wisdom and knowledge are unattainable; none has the power to obtain them. While we can earn academic titles, and be blessed with the spirit of discernment, we can never earn the boundless wisdom and knowledge that belong only to God. The Psalmist acknowledged that God's power is beyond human understanding. Good morning Scripture reading: Ezekiel 14:1-8 Worship song: At Your Feet   Meditation:      The Lord rescued the Israelites from Egypt and took them away from their lifestyle of bondage in slavery and their customary worship of idols. The Israelites encountered the love of God and were granted freedom through his divine power. Nonetheless, they regularly transgressed against the Lord and returned to idolatry, and for that, many of them did not reach the promised land. Squatters Occupying the Land

Good morning Scripture reading: Numbers 34:1-13 Worship Song: Way Maker   Meditation:      God made a covenant with Abraham in which he promised he would multiply his seed and make of him a great nation. God promised to bless him and his generation and give them the land of Canaan. The land was already occupied by various inhabitants, but God had to evict them so that Abraham and his descendants could possess the land. Our thoughts and hearts are vulnerable to the controlling influence of Satan's forces, who act as spiritual squatters.       To remove these spiritual intruders, we must invite Jesus Christ to take possession of our inner lives. Satan and his cohorts will remain inhabitants until we actively invite Jesus Christ into our lives to forcibly evict these unwanted spiritual tenants.
