The Ultimate Source of Life
Good morning
Scripture reading: Ruth 2
Worship song: My help
Meditation:
Amid adversity, Naomi made the pivotal decision to leave Moab and return to Judah, after the passing of her husband and sons, accompanied by her daughter-in-law, Ruth. Ruth and Naomi did not have a plan, but they placed their unwavering trust in Almighty God to provide the necessary resources for their sustenance. As they settled in Judah, the favour of the Lord was upon them, orchestrating connections and opportunities that enabled them to thrive during a challenging period. This story serves as a reminder that while we often prioritize our resources, we must recognize our ultimate source of sustenance.
We often place great emphasis on our resources and not on our source. We do everything we can to not lose our resources, yet we never consider that all we own is made available through our source. All our resources are provided by our Heavenly Father. Be grateful for your resources, but keep your eyes on the source. The resources we lost are only a temporary setback. If we know our source, we will not spend time worrying about our resources.
As long as we look to Jesus Christ and solely depend on him, we are
connected to a supply line that will never dry. We are not at the mercy of the
economy, our boss, or the people in our domain. God has all kinds of resources
he can use so stay close to Him and trust Him to make provision.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, clothed in splendor and majesty, we
express our sincere gratitude for your daily provision, grace, and mercies. We
depend solely on you, Lord God, and look to you for sustenance to meet our
needs according to your riches in glory. Lord. We are thankful for your
blessings and the continual resources you provide whether through healing,
finances, and spiritual empowerment. We anticipate the abundant outpouring of
your blessings as promised in Malachi 3 as we commit to bringing our tithes into
your storehouse. Mighty God, we ask you to guide us to use the resources you
have entrusted to us wisely and find contentment in what we have received. We
acknowledge that without you, our provider, we can accomplish nothing. Amen.
Very interesting. Source and resources. Which do we trust, the Source of course. Very though provoking. You are a different kind of person with a well of thoughts every flowing. Stand up, woman up, and never cower even when adversity look you square in the eye, never blink because God is your helper. Stay strong. Blessings. 🙏🙏
