Your Chains Are Not Physical
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Mark 5:1-9
Worship song: Chain Breaker
Meditation:
When Jesus arrived in the country of the Gerasene, he was
confronted by a fierce and demon-possessed man who lived among the tombs. No
one could subdue him, not even with chains, for he would always break free. His
condition was not caused by physical restraint, but he was held captive by evil
spiritual forces. The account describes his ultimate deliverance when Jesus
casts out the spiritual demons possessing him. Evil forces seek to target the
most vulnerable and hence prey on the weak. Some of the most powerful
limitations we encounter are not physical restraints, but rather spiritual or
emotional obstacles. Several inner struggles, including fear, negative
thoughts, unfaithfulness, dwelling on past mistakes, ungodly deeds, worry,
doubt, and spiritual weakness, can hinder us from fulfilling our purposes.
However, if we surrender all to Jesus, he will loosen the shackles and set us
free. The Lord declared in Isaiah 59 that he will break the power of evil and
injustice, remove heavy burdens, break every yoke of bondage, and free the
oppressed. The promise is a direct spiritual release for individuals from the
forces that bind and oppress them. Stand firm, then, and do not be burdened
again by the yoke of bondage.
Let us pray:
Merciful Father, we express our gratitude wholeheartedly
giving thanks for redeeming us and breaking spiritual chains. We boldly decree
no evil force shall have dominion over us, our children, and loved ones. We
affirm that every yoke of oppression and spiritual bondage is broken and
nullified. We stand on the covenant of Jesus that no evil force will take
possession of our minds, bodies, and souls. We declare that no demonic entity
shall invade or dwell in our temples for it is the dwelling place of the Holy
Spirit. We nullify and destroy every evil assignment written against us and our
family. Lord God, we welcome your warrior angels that are dispatched to stand
as gatekeepers over our family to defeat the evil forces that seek to dominate
us. Destroy the Spirit of fear, worry, doubt, and despair. Secure our destiny,
mighty God, and keep us on the path of righteousness, free from oppression and
evil influences in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a wonderful day. 💕🙏👉
Break every chain. As you describe in your devotion. We are often held down by so many things. There is a way to break through. Once we find that way keep walking in it. There are breakthroughs and deliverance. All chains must be broken.
