Expect a Time of Refreshing
Good morning
Scripture reading: Acts 3:19-26
Worship song: O Come to the Altar
Meditation:
We are encouraged to genuinely repent of our transgressions and turn to God, so our sins can be completely blotted out, granting us the right to experience a time of refreshing in the presence of the Lord. A time of refreshing is a promised state of spiritual renewal, restoration, and profound hope promised to individuals seeking a deeper, more intimate relationship with God. This salvation is possible upon the acceptance of Jesus Christ as the prophesied Messiah. Those who refused Jesus faced judgment as a result of their own decision and are already condemned. The final consequence for individuals who decline salvation and the invitation to change their ways is eternal condemnation.
Anyone who disregards Jesus and his teachings will face severe
punishment for their actions. But if a sinner repents and turns from their
sinful ways, Jesus is faithful to forgive them of all their iniquities. When
you truly repent, you actively turn away from wrongdoing and turn toward God,
demonstrating a transformed life through changed behavior and a changed
heart. If you are caught in the web of despair, seeking a way out, turn
your eyes on Jesus and He will offer you comfort, peace, and spiritual
guidance. Turn to God for forgiveness and spiritual revival, and he will set
you free from the bondage of sin.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus
Christ beseeching you to have mercy on us according to your loving kindness and
tender mercies. Blot out our transgressions, wash us thoroughly from all our
iniquities, and cleanse us from all our sins. Into your hands, we surrender our
hearts, bodies, minds, and souls O God. Almighty God, we confess that we have
strayed due to poor choices and corrupted influences. We humbly seek your
spiritual guidance, O God, and depend solely on your divine wisdom to direct us
on the path of righteousness. Lord, as we approach the beginning of a new year,
we thank You for Your faithfulness and grace in the past year. We ask for your
divine protection, strength, and peace as we step into this new era, trusting
that your plans are greater than ours. We submit to your authority, believing
your ways are higher than ours and that you will fulfill your purpose in us for
your glory in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. 🙏💞
