Icing on the Cake

Good morning

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Praise song: Your Grace and Mercy

Meditation:

When a cake is covered with frosting, all you can see is the sculptor's intricate design, incorporating precise shapes and patterns to achieve an appealing finish. Cakes that are broken are not discarded but covered so you cannot see the imperfections that lie beneath the attractive decorations of their beautiful frosting. This is what grace does to our brokenness. The grace of God is a redeeming act of love that covers our brokenness like icing on a cake, transforming it into His radiant beauty until we are completely whole. God's grace is sufficient to forgive and cleanse all sins, offering a path to redemption and a new beginning.

No matter the condition of our heart, the grace of God who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Jesus Christ will strengthen, establish, and make you perfect. The grace of God is sufficient, and his strength is made perfect in our weakness. We are here today thriving in his unyielding grace and mercy. Blessed beyond measure is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

Let us pray:

Sovereign God, I praise you for being a perfect, holy, and trustworthy God. Your grace, O God, is abundantly sufficient to forgive and cleanse all sins. Lord God, I am profoundly grateful for your grace; without it, I would have been a hopeless case, empty and broken, struggling to rise above my circumstances. Lord, I am deeply grateful for your boundless grace that sustains us, for your sacrificial love, and for the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord God, that you have not discarded this broken vessel but have redeemed and remodeled it for your glory. Father, I avail myself to be used as your oracle, ready to be used according to your purpose in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Be safe. Shalom. ✌💖🙏

  1. Cake or icing. We were a cake until icing covers us. As a cake we were not whole until our brokenness was discovered. What a beautiful lesson. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
