Who is Your hero?

Good morning

Scripture reading: Hebrews 11:32-39

Worship song: Calvary

Meditation:

Each one of us identifies with a person we hold in high regard and seek to emulate. Perhaps your hero is a parent, teacher, leader, celebrity, politician, or someone in society whom you have not met, but who has had a profoundly influential impact on your life. A hero can be someone who risks their own life to save another or someone who fights for a good cause, distinguished by exceptional courage, nobility, and strength, and making a positive difference in the world.

There is an exceptional hero whom I have come to deeply cherish, who is worthy of our utmost devotion and unwavering loyalty. Jesus Christ is our faithful hero. Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, willingly took on humanity's guilt and suffering, enduring a brutal crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice to redeem people from sin, offering them freedom and a path to righteousness and eternal life through His sacrificial love. He exchanged His perfect life for humanity's sins, paying the penalty so believers could be declared righteous and have a relationship with God. He is our hero of Calvary, seated in glory now where archangels bow before him, singing Holy, holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come.

Come lay down all the burdens you are carrying at his feet. All the solutions to our problems, the answers we seek, are found in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, our greatest hero, is our Savior, Lord, and King.

Let us pray:

Hero of Calvary, worthy are you, Lord, to receive glory, honor, praise, and adoration. Jesus Christ, you are our risen King, the God who triumphs over death and the grave. Death could not hold you down; you are seated in majesty, with angels bowing at your throne. Father, when I think of your goodness and what you have done for us, your limitless love for mankind, despite our disobedient and selfish desires, makes me want to know more about you and serve you wholeheartedly. Almighty God, I pledge allegiance to dwell in your presence all the days of my life. I choose, Lord God, to reject the world and the pleasures thereof to embrace the cross. Father, I pray for your limitless mercy towards those who are procrastinating. May You pierce their hearts with Your words and bring them in alignment with Your will. Father, strengthen my faith that I may not stray from your presence. Keep me close to you, O God; hide me in the secret chamber of your pavilion in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you joy, peace, and happiness. ✌💞🙏
