Mutual Submission
Good morning
Scripture reading: Ephesians 5:22-33
Worship song: Love Moved First
Meditation:
Marriage is a God-ordained, lifelong union in which a man and a woman become one, forming a new, permanent family unit that should not be broken. It is viewed as a solemn covenant, a sacred agreement with enduring promises that should be honored by all who commit to it. Still, unfortunately, not all marriages withstand the challenges they encounter. Marriage can mean many different things to the world, but holy matrimony is a sacred covenant ordained by God, designed for family and love.
A lasting marriage, as
described, is centered on shared spiritual values and a mutual commitment
to honoring God, where partners pray together, communicate wisely, and align
their union with God's will. Key principles emphasize placing God first, with
the husband called to love his wife sacrificially as Christ loved the church.
Similarly, wives are instructed to respect their husbands as they would respect
the Lord, seeing their husband as Christ's representative in the home. A man
who cherishes his wife cherishes himself and obtains favor from the Lord. The
foundation of a strong marriage is a shared spiritual journey and mutual
respect guided by divine principles.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, we acknowledge that marriages are a solemn
covenant ordained by you to unite a man and a woman to become one flesh.
Almighty God, we entrust all marriages between a man and a woman into Your
care, lifting up in prayer those who are currently facing challenges. Lord, we
pray for the preservation of marriages and for Your guidance to overcome
challenges that threaten their unity. We pray, O God, that the fire that once
kindled in these marriages will again begin to burn. We pray, Almighty God, that
clear communication, mutual respect, deep understanding, and love will flourish
in marriages. We pray, O God, for broken relationships to be mended by your
grace. Father, many of us have dishonored our sacred vow and have succumbed to
the difficult challenges we encountered. Father, please forgive us for our
ignorance. In your wrath, please show us mercy through Jesus Christ, our
Savior. Amen.
Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💞🙏
Show me your way, that i may walk with you, all of my heart is to love you more, to feel the warmth of your touch, show me your way. If each party does not love the Lord equally, there is going to be lapse. It is ever a work in progress. With God all things are possible. 🙏🙏
