Nurturing Spiritual Growth
Worship song: Rooted in His Word
Meditation
Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Jesus by internalizing Scripture and allowing the Holy Spirit to change our hearts, minds, and actions, moving from knowledge to experience. The journey toward spiritual development is often marked by an internal battle between an attachment to the material world and the call of higher spiritual development. Nevertheless, we can strengthen our spiritual life and our relationship with the divine through sincere worship, praises, fostering inner peace, praying without ceasing, meditating on the word of God day and night, and connecting with other believers. Spiritual growth can happen when we surrender our hearts to God and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and direct us. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk with him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Jesus Christ is the sole unshakeable basis for Christian faith and life, the only firm ground upon which all spiritual teachings, ministries, and personal lives must rest, for no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Therefore, let us grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to Him be glory both now and forever.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we desire to deepen our faith and strengthen our walk with you. We pray that you strengthen our inner man, and dwell in our hearts richly that we may be rooted and grounded in your perfect love. Help us, O God, to cultivate the fruit of Your Spirit in our lives helping us fully surrender to You and to know You better. We pray for the strength to face trials and grow through them. Lord, prune away anything that keeps us from bearing fruit for Your kingdom. Guide our ministers, leaders, and the body of Christ to grow numerically and spiritually by focusing on Christ, equipping members, pursuing unity, and actively spreading the Gospel. We pray for your divine intervention and the guidance of your Holy Spirit to produce spiritual fruitfulness, empowering others to surrender to your divine purpose in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. (Child of the King).
Wishing you a blessed and peaceful day.
