Feeling Discouraged
Good morning
Scripture reading: Joshua 1:1-9
Worship Song: Bridge Over Troubled Water
Meditation:
To be discouraged is to feel deprived of hope, courage, and confidence, or to feel disheartened. Discouragement is a common daily challenge that severely impacts our faith, spiritual and physical well-being, leaving us feeling defeated and hopeless. After the death of Moses, God commanded Joshua to be strong, courageous, and not to be dismayed or afraid. Joshua needed that reassurance to lead the people to the promised land.
In Deuteronomy 31 and
Joshua 1, God encourages us to be strong and courageous. He reassures us not to
be afraid because He will never leave nor forsake us. When you feel
discouraged, find comfort in God's word and be assured that the Lord promised
to prosper us and not harm us, and give us hope and a future. No matter the
challenges you encounter, let nothing move you to despair; rejoice in the truth
and promises of God. Don't be disheartened by discouragement, but know it is a
common test of faith experienced by many of God's servants.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I raise a hallelujah to you, O God,
for you are marvelous and matchless in all your splendor and glory. Almighty
God, as I feast upon your word, grant me wisdom, clarity, and understanding so
I may gain spiritual strength. Lord, help me to meditate upon your precepts day
and night, and let not your commands depart from my heart. Almighty God, I
fixed my eyes upon you, O God, for only in you can I find joy, peace, and
contentment. When my soul is cast down, when I feel discouraged, weary, and
broken, shelter me, O God, in your pavilion and cover me with your mighty,
outstretched arms. In moments of discouragement, remind me to cast my cares
upon you, Lord, for you care about my well-being. In moments of fear and
dismay, I ask for divine strength. Empower me, O God, to be strong and
courageous through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be strong in the Lord. 💪👏🙏
There is relief for anything we experience in life, we just need to seek it, find it and apply it. No need to live with regrets when one is forgiven. However the human experience is one we have to let plays out on its own term even if it is not the way others would like to see it. God is the fixer of all things. 🙏💪🙏
