Bless And Curse Not

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Luke 6:27-28

Worship song: The Jesus Way

Meditation:

Jesus highlights four essential principles in His teachings: love, prayer, blessing others, and doing good. Among His most profound teachings is the call to love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, bless those who curse us, and pray for those who spitefully use us. It is vital that, as children of God, we adhere to Jesus' teachings. His instructions are designed to edify us and help us establish a relationship with him that manifests love for one another. Jesus reminds us that not everyone will love us, bless us, and do good unto us.

Nevertheless, we are called to demonstrate love, bless, pray, and do good unto them. Instead of retaliating against those who harm us, we are encouraged to show love, compassion, and kindness to them. We must relinquish any grudges or resentment against those who wronged us. Loving and forgiving our enemies and those who spitefully use us is only possible if the love of God dwells within us. If you find it challenging to bless someone who curses you or do good for someone who has spitefully used you, bring your concerns before the Lord in prayer.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that, in our own strength, it is impossible to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who persecute and spitefully use us.  Forgive us, Lord, for any resentment or anger we may have harbored in our hearts against those who harm us. Assist us, Lord God, to forgive our enemies and see them as individuals in need of your redeeming blood. We earnestly beseech You, Lord, to allow the fire of the Holy Spirit to eradicate the power of the flesh. Create within us, O God, a pure heart, and help us to love as you loved us, bless, pray for, and do good to others in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a wonderful day. 👏💗🙏🙌

  1. The principles of the kingdom must be adhere to or else we are not ready for the fulfillment of the kingdom. We can use these measures to know where we are in our growth. The deeper we are in our relationship with God, though still challenging will be coupable. In our effort to do right, God will help us. 🙏🙏
