Conquering Rejection

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Matthew 13: 53-58

Worship song: Cry of the Broken

Meditation:

The fear of rejection is an obstacle that can paralyze our mental state. It has the potential to influence our identity and hinder our progress toward fulfilling our divine purpose. The fear of rejection may lead an individual to avoid situations that could result in rejection. Although you cannot prevent rejection, it can be overcome. Overcoming rejection depends on your beliefs, what you accept, and your interpretation of others' views and opinions. It is possible to dismantle the stronghold of rejection by acknowledging and embracing God's declarations about your identity and who you are in Christ. Recognizing and accepting that God fearfully and wonderfully makes you in his likeness and image, loved, valued, and accepted by Him, can quell the spirit of rejection.

Whenever you feel rejected, do not take it personally and do not be discouraged; instead, focus on your strengths and achievements. Rest in the truth that you are accepted and loved by God, and in Him, you have your being. Overcoming rejection involves taking your eyes off those who reject you and fixing your gaze on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of your faith. Acknowledging that you live in a society where rejection is prominent and you are not exempt from being rejected is key awareness. Regardless of how others feel about you or treat you, remember that Jesus Christ accepts you for who you are, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Shift your focus to the big picture and do not sweat the small stuff. Develop a close relationship with Jesus and soon you will realize that others' opinions, judgments, and negative utterances are insignificant.

Let us pray:

Sovereign God, we thank you for your comforting words that assure us we need not fear rejection when you are for us. Father, we reject the spirit of rejection and embrace the spirit of acceptance, knowing, mighty God, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in your likeness and image. Almighty God, we now walk with confidence, recognizing that although others may devalue our worth and reject us, we are accepted and cherished in your sight. Father, we choose to look beyond the rejections we encounter in life, laying down all pain, hurt, and wounds we may struggle to bear and accept your love, grace, mercies, plans, and purposes for our lives in Jesus name. Amen.

Wishing you divine protection. 💕🙏🙌
