Candidates for Supernatural Strength
Good morning
Scripture reading: Isaiah 40: 28-31
Worship song: We've Got The Power
Meditation:
Although exhausted, weary, and faint from fighting, Gideon and his 300 men continue to pursue their enemies. This small, vigilant group, according to Judges 7, used only torches, jars, and trumpets to confuse their enemies' territory, leading to a massive victory. Rather than relying on their human strength they trusted in God's supernatural power. Apostle Paul testified that when he was weak, he was made strong, as God’s power was made perfect in his weakness. He further assures us in 2 Corinthians 12, that the weary find rest and strength in God’s divine grace.
We are reminded in Psalm 46, that God
is our refuge and strength. Sometimes we get overwhelmed, burdened, and cast
down by the cares of life, but we are reminded that there is hope for the
weary. Jesus extends an invitation to cast our cares upon Him for He cares for
us. He invites the weary to come to Him for rest for He never grows weary and
He does not faint. Christ is capable of sustaining us regardless of
circumstances. He gives power to the faint and strengthens the weak. Individuals who wait on the Lord and does not rely on their inadequate strength are ideal for God's divine power to be made perfect in them.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we are grateful for the assurance that when we
become weary we can find strength to overcome our weakness. We thank you,
Almighty God, for the divine strength, comfort, endurance, and courage you
provide during difficult times. Father, we surrender our heavy burdens to you
acknowledging your power is greater than our challenges. We lay at your feet
our limited strength and weaknesses, trusting in your strength alone, knowing
that your power will perfect our weakness. During moments of feeling weary and
heavily laden, we wait upon you, Lord, to renew our strength, and grant us
power to rise above life's challenges. Unto you, O God who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us we commit our limitation to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. 💕🙌🙏
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. There are so many circumstances that can weaken us, especially in these latter times but even at our weakest moment we can regain strength because He knows how much we can bear, even when we say no more He says yes we can if we only draw closer to Him. Let us do that. 🙏🙏💪
