Meditation:

    One of our biggest struggles as children of God is knowing what the Word of God says but failing to apply it. Knowing God's Word changes nothing if we remain spiritually blind to its truth. The word we hear and know must be applied, and the way we apply it is by walking according to the will of God through his prophetic word. We know the word and understand what it says, yet we seek things that do not align with God's will. We know what the word says, but we desire things that satisfy the flesh instead of the spirit. When we allow the word of God to sanctify and convict us, God will transform our hearts and minds in obedience to his will. 

    A significant problem in the Christian walk is being a hearer of the Word of God, but not a doer. Those who live by the Word shall be blessed in their actions (James 1:22-25). The living Word of God is powerful and sharp enough to pierce our hearts; therefore, let us embrace its truth and live according to its teachings. We should not merely be hearers of the word who quickly forget its truth when faced with trials and temptation. 

    As stated in Colossians 3, we are to let the word of God dwell within us richly in all wisdom, and whatever we do or say, we must do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks always to God and the Father through Him.

Let us pray:

    Sovereign God, thank You for Your living and powerful word that penetrates our soul and discerns our thoughts. Almighty God, grant us understanding of Your word and help us move beyond mere hearing Your message to actively practicing it daily. Father, we desire to live as faithful disciples of Christ. As we pray, Lord, we ask that You impart the knowledge necessary to apply Your Word meaningfully in our lives in a way that will transform our hearts. Lord, we ask for Your divine guidance as we study the Scriptures. Grant us humility and clarity so that our lives may truly reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ. Thank You for instilling within us the desire to live in faithful obedience to Your Word. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Often, our potential is hindered by the barriers of negative thoughts. Stepping into unfamiliar territory can feel overwhelming and frightening.
