Who Do You Run To?
Good morning
Scripture: Psalm 18:1-6
Worship song: I Go to the Rock
Meditation:
When friends, loved ones, family members, and acquaintances turn their backs on you, whom do you turn to? When the pressures of life become overwhelming, where do you seek refuge? When you have no one to lean on, who do you turn to for support? During times of grief, struggle to overcome hurt, pain, and broken promises, in whom do you find solace? And when the tempest is raging, and the billows are tossing, where do you find shelter? You may feel stigmatized, condemned, rejected, and cast aside; however, be assured you are not alone.
Jesus, who was sinless and came to redeem humanity from sin, was condemned and rejected even though He spent his time healing and ministering to the sick, the lame, and the spiritually blind. Despite His kindness and compassion, He was abused, rejected, and condemned. Whatever your situation, whatever storm is raging in your life, you can find shelter in the arms of the Master of the ocean, sky, and earth. When you need a friend, shelter, or a strong foundation, lean on Jesus Christ, the solid rock. He will never leave nor forsake you.
If you are seeking refuge for your soul, turn to
Jesus Christ, our redeeming Saviour. When seeking comfort, turn to Jesus
Christ, our Redeemer. He knows, sees, and hears all things. When you encounter
Jesus Christ, He will console you, grant you His peace, fill your heart with
joy, and shower you with His love. There is not a friend like the lowly Jesus.
Will you turn to Him today?
Let us pray:
Almighty, all-sufficient God, there are times when we
feel rejected, neglected, abandoned, and cast down. I pray, O God, that these
feelings will not prevent us from serving and surrendering ourselves to You.
Lord, when we face difficulties, remind us, O God, of Your mighty power and the
boundless love You have for us. Remind us, O Lord, that amid all storms, when
the sea billows roll and the tempest rages, we have an anchor in You, Mighty
One. Reaffirm in our minds, O God, that You are the master of the sea, the
earth, and the sky; our comforter, our help in times of trouble, our provider,
our redeemer, and our solid rock. Almighty God, I pray that, regardless of the
challenges we encounter, we will acknowledge You and allow You to direct our
paths. Take control, O God, and permit Your ministering angels and Your Holy
Spirit to comfort and console us as we navigate life's struggles. In the mighty
name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray. Amen.
Wishing you abundant blessings. 💕👏🙏
