Faith Still Hold
Good morning
Scripture reading: 2 Samuel 12:15-23
Worship song: I Still Believe
Meditation:
In times of need, a faith-driven person confidently seeks assistance from the Creator, relying on his sovereignty and authoritative power for assurance, guidance, strength, and comfort. Believers firmly grounded in God's divine power depend on Him wholeheartedly, regardless of their circumstances. The fundamental principle of the Christian faith is to remain faithful, trusting God completely, despite the outcome of their ordeal.
For seven days, King David watched his son's health deteriorate, but still he fasted and prayed for his recovery. King David was waiting with great expectation, hoping that God would heal his son, but unfortunately, the outcome was not what he desired. However, after his son's death, King David rose, changed his garment, and began to worship God. Like King David, we hope God will be gracious to us in every area of our lives, yet we understand that sometimes what we anticipate is not God's will.
Nonetheless, let us remain steadfast in
our faith, trusting God, and praying fervently without ceasing. Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-nego made a powerful declaration of faith, affirming that
even if God chose not to deliver them from the fiery furnace, they would not
bow to the king's idol. As believers, our proclamation should declare our faith
and trust in God, demonstrated by shifting our focus from our problems and
limitations to His unwavering faithfulness.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, the fate of David's son offers clarity amid the struggles we encounter, yet it does not make it any easier to cope with tragedy, loss, and disappointments. Father, we trust in your extraordinary favor, believing with expectancy that whatever we ask, we will receive. Father, as we present our challenges before you, I pray your hand of mercy and grace extends to each of us according to our needs. We plead with you, O God, to mend the brokenhearted, comfort those who grieve, and heal the wounded and afflicted. We solely depend on you, Almighty God, to intervene in our situations and positively alter the outcome. Lord, we remain faithful, trusting you, O God, for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing as well as financial breakthrough. Grant us divine mercy, O God, and strengthen us to cope with every challenge we encounter in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have an awesome day. 👏💕🙏
