Filled With The Holy Spirit

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Luke 3:1-16

Worship song: Spirit of The Living God

Meditation:

There is a clear distinction between water baptism and baptism of the Holy Spirit. John boldly stated his mission to preach repentance and baptize with water but revealed that it is Jesus Christ who baptizes us with the Holy Ghost and fire. Those who have been baptized in water must also be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our guide, directing those who actively seek God's will and submit to His word. The Holy Spirit operates within us, transforming our lives and empowering us to live in obedience to God.

In Acts 8, Philip boldly proclaimed and taught the gospel to those in Samaria who were misguided by Simon the sorcerer. Many believed the gospel, including Simon himself, and upon the profession of their faith, they received water baptism. However, water baptism alone does not change your heart condition, as was the case with Simon, whose heart was not right in the sight of God.

We all need the Holy Spirit, which is essential for guiding, empowering, and transforming believers. Jesus Christ has ascended and sent the Holy Spirit to empower us with wisdom, strength, and guidance to live a godly life.

Let us pray:

Everlasting Father, I thank you for the precious gift of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which equips, teaches, guides, leads, and empowers us to live in a manner that pleases You. We eagerly desire the Holy Spirit's empowerment and leadership to help align our hearts with your will. Father, in every aspect we desire to please You, and we recognize that we can only achieve this through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Abba Father, if we falter or ignore the prompting of the Spirit, bring our thoughts into alignment through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

Have a wonderful day. 💕🙏🙏

  1. How can anyone goes wrong with the leading of the Holy Spirit, as a matter of fact, we all go wrong when we ignore His leading. Sometimes like a pinch, He pinch us, other times like an elbow He elbow us but gentle enough to get our attention. We dare not ignore Him because He will withdraw a little to show us we need Him every hour. Let us embrace His indwelling and express our need of Him every hour. Continue to be that person who writes and lives under His influence. Blessings my wonderful writer. Shalom.
