The Perfect Resume

Good morning

Scripture reading: Colossians 3:23-24

Worship song: My Help

Meditation:

In the competitive job market, we focus on creating an impressive resume to showcase our achievements that will qualify us as the ideal candidate. Unlike an earthly boss, who is impressed by achievements and skills, God values inner character and a repentant heart. Our professional skills and accomplishments, while important to employers, are insignificant to God, who already knows our every strength, weakness, and imperfection. Our genuine worth to God is rooted not in self-promotion but in our commitment and faith in Jesus Christ.

This clear distinction shows that human validation does not relate to divine approval. Consider the testimony of the Apostle Paul, in Philippians 3:7-9, who viewed his worldly achievements as insignificant after his true encounter with Christ. King Solomon, in Ecclesiastes 1, describes the profound emptiness, futility, and spiritual frustration that come from pursuing earthly gains. Ultimately, the life that matters to Jesus is a spiritual resume built on love, humility, and service, which is the legacy we should strive for before our Heavenly Father.

Let us pray:

Almighty God, worthy are you Lord, and worthy to be praised. I glorify you for you are matchless in power. We acknowledge, dear Lord, that our worth is not in presenting ourselves as perfect before you, but in commitment, total surrender, and faith in Jesus Christ. I pray, O God that in our quest to gain worldly recognition, we will first divert our focus to seeking your Kingdom and righteousness with the assurance that you will provide all our needs. Remind us, O God, that worldly achievements are temporary, but our relationship with you is eternal. Help us, O God, to be committed in both our worldly work and our spiritual devotion in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a fantastic day. 💕🙏🙏

  1. Blessed morning. God is faithful. Live out thy life within me O Jesus king of kings. Heavenly Father, I want to live in a way that honors you and brings glory to your name. Guide me in building a good name, not for my own glory, but to reflect your love and grace to those around me. May my words and actions align with your will, and may my character be a testament to your goodness. Amen. Stay blessed. 🙌

  2. The perfect Resume. You are always able to use different things to bring out a point so clear and understanding. Each time I read your writing I recognize your unique talent and abilities God have given to you. You humility disguise your profound abilities and this is a Kool way to allow God to continue using you to have an impact without making any noise about it. Keep low so you can rise high. Continue, continue. God is getting His work done through you and with you. God bless you richly and always. 🙏🙏
