The Decree is Established
Good morning
Scripture reading: Daniel 6:1-10
Worship song: Pray On
Meditation:
Having failed to identify any fault in Daniel's conduct, his envious rivals realized their accusations could only be based on his religious practices and loyalty to the law of his God. They conspired to create a decree prohibiting prayer to any deity other than the king, with the intent that Daniel's unwavering devotion and allegiance to his God would lead him to break the law and face punishment. Daniel knew the consequence of disobeying the king's order would result in severe punishment; nonetheless, this did not stop him from making supplication before God.
Aware that the decree had been signed,
Daniel went to his house, entered his secret chamber where the windows faced
Jerusalem, knelt down three times a day to pray, wholeheartedly giving thanks
to God, just as he had always done. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the
Spirit of the Lord will rally you to victory by raising a standard against his
attacks. No matter the challenges encountered, remain resolute and
steadfast, trusting that God will deliver you from all your troubles. Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might, put on the whole armor of God that you may stand against the wiles of the enemy.
Let us pray:
Most righteous eternal Father, our redeemer and friend, we
glorify your name because you are worthy to receive glory, honor and praise.
Abba Father, we find solace in Your presence, knowing that You, O God, are a
protective shield for us. We solely depend on you, O God, to deliver us from
unforeseen plots and schemes of the adversary. We trust your sovereignty, Lord
God, and faithfully rely on your promise to restore our hope and confidence
when the enemy raises up a standard against us. Father God, grant us the inner
strength to endure persecution, resist temptations, and stand firm against
opposition so that we may remain steadfast in our faith. We look to you,
Almighty God, for divine guidance, direction, and help to navigate this
spiritual journey in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.
Wishing you a wonderful day. 💞👏🙏
What or who shall separate us from the love of God. There will be many oppositions, test, and all other wiles of the devil but in the midst of it all, God is our fortress in Him we trust. The moment we walk around whimpy and murmuring we lost it all, we must be prepared to die a fighting. We are more than a conqueror. Let it be that way. 💪🙏
