Who Do You Run To?

Image
Good morning Scripture: Psalm 18:1-6 Worship song: I Go to the Rock   Meditation:      When friends, loved ones, family members, and acquaintances turn their backs on you, whom do you turn to? When the pressures of life become overwhelming, where do you seek refuge? When you have no one to lean on, who do you turn to for support? During times of grief, struggle to overcome hurt, pain, and broken promises, in whom do you find solace? And when the tempest is raging, and the billows are tossing, where do you find shelter? You may feel stigmatized, condemned, rejected, and cast aside; however, be assured you are not alone.       Jesus, who was sinless and came to redeem humanity from sin, was condemned and rejected even though He spent his time healing and ministering to the sick, the lame, and the spiritually blind. Despite His kindness and compassion, He was abused, rejected, and condemned. Whatever your situation, whatever storm is raging...

Unchecked Anger

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Genesis 4; James 1:19-20 Worship song: Sunset of My Rage   Meditation:      Cain's uncontrolled anger shows that letting resentment fester can lead to destructive actions. Despite receiving a direct warning from God to control his anger and change his heart posture, Cain disregarded the counsel, allowing resentment to take control until he tragically took his brother's life. The Psalmist David encourages us to cease from anger and forsake wrath (Psalm 37:8). He recognized that uncontrolled anger damages one's well-being and leads to evil. Therefore, do not be hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resides in the bosom of fools (Eccles. 7:9).       The Apostle Paul urges believers to rid themselves of destructive behaviors such as anger, wrath, and resentment which can lead to harmful consequences (Colossians 3:8). The wisdom from the wise King Solomon teaches that mastering self-control and governing a...

Divine Altar Exchange

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Romans 12:1 Worship song: O Come To The Altar   Meditation:      The altar is a sacred place of divine encounter and spiritual exchange, where we trade human brokenness, sin, or sacrifice for God's presence, forgiveness, and blessing. It is a place of profound reverence, where hearts yield, and knees bow to the sovereign majesty of a Holy God. We meet the Lord at the altar, where we surrender, laying down all our struggles, worries, iniquities, problems, griefs, sorrows, and concerns before Almighty God so that we might receive His healing, peace, grace, and righteousness. It is a place where believers make intentional decisions to move away from habitual lifestyles, make life-altering covenants, and commit to serve God wholeheartedly, with a desire to receive God's divine purpose.       Consecrated altars are where we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, trade our self-will and bad habits, allowing God ...

Consistency is Required

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 1 Corinthians 15:58 Worship song: My worship   Meditation:      Consistency is the steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc., or always behaving in the same manner. It is often seen as the ability to sustain effort despite external forces. For example, for athletes to succeed, every drill, sprint, exercise, and practice is tailored to individual needs to maximize efficiency, increase speed, and build strength. They train vigorously and consistently to maintain fitness and shape.       As children of God, we are called to uphold moral standards, nurture a disciplined mindset, and cultivate a desire for consistency. We must commit ourselves to regular worship, prayer, and studying the Word, maintaining deep fellowship, steadfastness, being unmovable, and always abounding in the work of God. Consistency, sincerity, and dedication are vital for spiritual development. It is essential to rem...

Do You Know Him?

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 1 John 2:2-5 Worship Song: Without Him   Meditation:      There is a difference between merely knowing about an individual and becoming acquainted with that person. Knowing Jesus goes beyond merely understanding his biography. It is more than knowing about the miracles he performed, more than reading or hearing about him, or believing that he was an exemplary teacher. It involves more than gathering information. Knowing Jesus is not just a partial acquaintance but a deep, intimate knowledge. It means having a personal relationship with Him, making a conscious choice to follow Him.       Those who truly know Jesus place their faith in him, trust him, acknowledge their dependence on Him, recognize Him as the Redeemer of sinners, accept Him as their Lord and Savior, and realize their need for His presence daily. Knowing Jesus involves experiencing His love, His grace, and His mercy every day. It compels one t...

Courage Is Not the Absence of Fear

Image
Good Morning Scripture reading: Joshua 1:5-9 Worship song: Fear Has No Power   Meditation:      President Franklin D. Roosevelt's renowned declaration that "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" was a rallying cry delivered during his inaugural address on March 4, 1933. He urged a despairing nation to reject paralyzing panic and confront the Great Depression's challenges with steadfast resolve. He emphasized that panic and despair were greater obstacles to recovery than the economic crisis itself. There comes a moment when we must venture into unfamiliar territory or take on new assignments requiring encouragement.       After Moses' death, Joshua became the new leader, tasked with guiding Israel into Canaan. This responsibility demands unwavering courage to faithfully adhere to divine law and guidance to lead Israel, a nation characterized by rebellion. The Lord encouraged Joshua to be brave and strong. Do not panic or worry ab...

Bring Me Word Again

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Matthew 2:1-16 Worship song: Hide Me Under Your Blood   Meditation:      King Herod and the citizens of Jerusalem were profoundly disturbed upon hearing the wise men's announcement of the birth of the future king. Herod promptly summoned the religious leaders together to find the precise location prophesied as the birthplace of the Messiah, not out of a desire to honour or worship the child, but to eliminate Him under the pretence of reverence. He was terrified that the newborn, proclaimed king of the Jews, would dethrone him. Discovering that the wise men had deceived him, Herod, determined to eliminate his potential rival, ordered the execution of all male children aged two and under in and around Bethlehem, hoping the intended victim would likely be among the deceased.       However, his scheming failed when both the wise men and the Messiah's parents, were warned in dreams to flee from Herod. Despi...

Cause For Concern

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Luke 21: 6-28 Worship song: If Not For Grace   Meditation:      Current societal events provide significant cause for concern, as humanity continues to alter God's creation, driven by personal pride. The rapid transformations occurring in our world and among individuals are astonishing; however, they serve as a reminder that these events were foretold and must come to pass. Men forsake the natural use of women, consumed by their lust; men engaging in unnatural acts with men, working that which is considered unseemly; and women behaving likewise. Driven by greed, hatred, and deceit, many people have become so consumed by immorality and malice that they no longer realize their minds are entirely corrupted.       Through idol worship and relentless self-indulgence, they have drifted completely away from God's commandments. They have transformed into proud, spiteful boasters who hate God and invent new way...
