Walk by Faith

Good morning

Scripture reading: Ezra 8:21-31

Worship song: I'll Trust You, Lord

Meditation:

During the reign of King Artaxerxes, Ezra and the Israelites were granted permission to return to Jerusalem. Ezra had boasted to the king that God would protect him and his people throughout their journey. When Ezra realized they faced danger from enemies along the way, he did not request military protection from the king. Instead, he called the travelers to fast, pray, and humble themselves before God, trusting Him to keep them safe and guide them to Jerusalem. Ezra unwavering faith was firmly rooted in God. He remained steadfast in his belief, even as danger loomed ahead, entrusting his life and the group's safety to divine protection. Ezra trusted God to protect them from danger, and God did so. His action demonstrates what it means to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

The reassurance that this text embodies reflects God's faithfulness to those who trust Him completely. May we echo the words of the Hebrew boys, declaring that we know God can deliver us, but whether He chooses to rescue us or allow us to face the adversary's plan, we will continue to serve and worship Him as our Lord and King. Let us trust in the Lord with all our hearts and depend solely on Him for divine direction.

Let us pray:

Abba Father, blessed are those who place their confidence and trust in You. We declare that You, O God, are our strength, provider, protector, and our help in times of trouble. From the ends of the earth, we cry out to You, Lord, lifting our desperate prayers before You. We place every concern into Your hands, confident in Your guidance and direction. Lord, we will serve You willingly and sincerely, remembering that You died on Calvary to redeem ruined lives. We rest securely in the assurance of Your promises, trusting in Your divine protection and declaring boldly that You will guide us. Lead us safely, Lord, by Your mighty hand to the promised land. In the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a joyful day. 💕🙌🙏
