If/Then Conditions
Good morning
Scripture Reading: Exodus 19:5
Worship Song: “What If”
Meditation:
If-then statements reveal a profound connection between our choices and God’s responses. Throughout Scripture, God’s Word establishes clear “if/then” principles: when we faithfully carry out our responsibilities, He opens the windows of heaven and pours out His blessings. Exodus 19:5 tells us that "if we obey His voice and keep His commandments, then He will welcome us into a covenant relationship with Him."
2 Chronicles 7:14 offers another clear principle: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." God’s unwavering love and His gift of salvation through grace are unconditional. When we fall short, the Scriptures offer the reassurance that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Romans 10:9 reminds us that If we confess
with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised
Him from the dead, we will be saved. Finally, John 15:7 says, "If you
abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it
shall be done unto you."
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, we come humbly in Your presence this morning,
acknowledging, O God, that You are in control. Help us, Almighty God, to
release our own willpower to embrace Your loving direction. With open hearts,
we willingly turn from our wrongdoings, confess our faults, and ask that You
cleanse us from all ungodliness and unrighteousness. Lord, we desire to know
You more and find comfort and wisdom in Your truth. Help us abide in You, Lord,
and gently guide us along the way. We confess that You are our Lord and Savior,
the only God on whom we depend completely. Lead us, Heavenly Father, until our
heartfelt praise brings You delight. In the precious name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. 👏🙌🙏
